MDCAT registration last date
For 2026, registration opened on 22 June. PM&DC first set the last date as 8 July, or 13 July with a late fee. These were reported to have been extended to 13 July and 18 July. Sites that give different dates may be showing the older schedule. The window lasted only about four weeks, so it is easy to miss. The MDCAT date page has the full timeline.
How to apply for MDCAT: step by step
This is the general process from recent years. The exact screens can change, so follow the official notice for your year.
- Read the PM&DC notice. Note the dates, fee and centre rules.
- Create an account on the official portal with your own CNIC or B-Form number and a phone number and email you check often.
- Fill in the form with your name and your father's name exactly as they appear on your certificates.
- Upload your photo and any documents the form asks for, in the stated format and size.
- Choose your test centre carefully. You could not change it later in 2026.
- Pay the fee using a method listed on the portal, and keep the receipt.
- Submit and save a copy of the completed form.
- Download your roll number slip when it is released. See the roll number slip guide.
Keep these ready before the window opens
- CNIC or B-Form
- A recent photograph, as a digital file
- Matric and FSc details, plus your roll numbers
- Domicile certificate, as your domicile decides your test centre and quota
- IBCC equivalence, if you studied A Levels or abroad
- A way to pay the fee
The eligibility guide separates what you need for the test from what you need for college admission.
Common registration mistakes
- Waiting for the final days. Portals can slow down near the deadline, and missing the regular date cost Rs 4,000 more in 2026.
- Name mismatches. Spelling differences from your certificates can cause trouble later.
- Choosing a centre in a hurry. Check travel time before you commit.
- Using someone else's phone or email. Roll number slips and notices may go to the contact details you give.
- Paying through an unofficial agent. Use only the payment routes listed on the official portal.
