A typical study day
This is a sample for a full-time student. Shift the times to fit your life, and keep the order of the tasks.
| Block | Time | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2 hours | Biology: read a new unit |
| 2 | 1 hour | Biology: answer that unit's MCQs and fix your mistakes |
| 3 | 2 hours | Chemistry or Physics: a new unit and its MCQs |
| 4 | 1 hour | Revise your mistakes from earlier in the week |
| 5 | 30 minutes | English vocabulary or Logical Reasoning |
Keep one day each week for a subject test and to catch up on anything unfinished.
Weeks 1 to 10: cover the syllabus
Units are taken in syllabus order, so hard and easy units are spread out. If a week feels heavy, move a unit to your catch-up day.
Weeks 11 and 12: full mock tests
| Period | Plan |
|---|---|
| Week 11 | 3 full mock tests, with a full day of review after each. Revise your weakest units. |
| Week 12, first part | 2 more full mocks, and revise your summary tables, formulas and reactions. |
| Final 2 days | Light revision only. Prepare your roll number slip and ID, and sleep well. |
How to know you're on track
- By week 5, you should be getting most MCQs right in the units you have finished, even if your speed is still low.
- By week 10, every unit should have been read and tested at least once.
- In week 11, compare your mock score with your target score, and put your remaining time into the subject with the biggest gap.
Frequently asked questions
What if I have less than 12 weeks?
Combine weeks and prioritise Biology and your weakest high-mark units, but protect at least one full week for mock tests.
What if I am still in FSc?
Stretch the plan to 20 to 24 weeks by studying the units that match your board course. Revising for FSc and MDCAT at the same time saves work, because the content overlaps.
What if I fall behind?
Move unfinished units into your catch-up day. If you are still behind, cut your reading time but keep doing the MCQs. Do not drop the mock tests.
Is this plan good for repeaters?
Yes. If you know the syllabus, start with a full mock, spend less time on strong units, and put the extra time into your weakest subjects.
